hey... so it's the middle of winter and one week out from the super bowl. GO COLTS!!! that also means that we have NO OSM on February 7. make sure you spend some time with family and friends watching the Colts go to town against the Saints. We just finished a 4 week series called "Go, &..." The whole series was built around asking the question, "What does it mean for a teenager to follow Jesus?" We said that following Jesus has very little to do with obeying a list of rules. That is called moralism. following Jesus means that we accept God's grace for us and live out God's grace to others. each week we talked about a different aspect of what living God's grace looks like. Week One: comforting the hurting (pay it forward). Week Two: seeking justice (giving everyone a fair shot). Week Three: showing love (acting out what you believe) and Week Four: sharing your story. Starting February 14 we are beginning a new series called "recharge." this series is going to be all about habits we can develop in our lives to recharge us spiritually. you won't want to miss these! Groups have been going awesome. if you're a student and you're not in a group but want to get in one... contact me (.(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)) and we'll get you in one.
