Monday Morning Recap, 8.1
What an awesome experience at Oakbrook yesterday!
Watching people get baptized is such a meaningful experience for me. Baptism always takes be back to the reason we do church. And yesterday was so meaningful watching two grandparents baptize their grandchildren! What a beautiful picture of multi-generational influence.
I really enjoyed At The Movies! And for those of you who have not watched Hoosiers yet-c'mon! Let's get this done this week! Big thanks to Jimmy Rayl Jr. for telling about his experience being in the movie! Who knew this movie would become the #1 sports movie of all time!
Live this week with that theme of redemption in front of you. Gives thanks for the "2nd chances" God has given you.
Big Stuf Camp was BIG for our students! 14 students surrender their lives to Christ and 12 of them were baptized in the ocean. Really proud of these students! And a big thanks to Emily Hays, Curtis Stout, Joel Larison and all the adult leaders for their investment and influence. Way to go leaders!
MAN DAY this Sunday. Guys-come on out Sunday afternoon 12:30-4:30pm to Oakbrook Valley for a great time of fun, connection and food.
Leadership Community Aug. 21-Plan now to join us at 6PM for our first installment of Leadership Community this year. This is a gathering for all ministry leaders, volunteers and small group members. Join us as we come together to grow, cast vision, celebrate and share what God is doing through Oakbrook. If this is your church, Leadership Community is a "can't miss" experience for you!
Please be praying today for Karl and Sherry Stoneking's grandson Cade. He is in ICU at Riley hospital with some heart complications and breathing challenges. Let's join together as one big church and pray all day for Cade and his parents Dane and Sue!
Also, start praying for our fall run. As school starts and vacations come to an end pray that God will begin drawing people back to church. I'm asking God daily to draw more people to Christ in this run than we have ever experienced in past runs. Please pray that prayer with me. Thousands of people in Kokomo need a Savior!
As always-lets not just talk about church-lets be about the mission of helping people find Christ and then learn to live like him!
Love doing church with you guys!
Mark

Mark, what an awesome service. Made my day. After my second mishap on June 30th, I have not been able to get to church. My daughter offered to come, help get me dressed load me and the wheelchair up in my car and get me to church. I was so happy ro be there. Since my pace maker is working and my surgery is better every day, I should be back to normal in 6 weeks. GOD IS GOOD!!!!!!!

Very good web-site. I like your placing comments system. Apologies for the off-topic post, nonetheless I had been really satisfied with Djokovic’s play in the final of the Australia OPen this year. The man is just unbeatable. He proved he was as powerful as stainlesss steel. Only consider about he he can whip Nadal who had previously been so determined to succeed as well as really was so energized up during the fifth set. Now i’m beginning to think that Djokovic is performing some religious work to take some forces on his side to help him win such matches against the finest players in the planet
