Monday Morning Recap, 11.23
Here are a few thoughts from another awesome day at Oakbrook…
• So thankful this morning for all the hard work people put into weekend experiences at Oakbrook. Sometimes I forget how much horsepower is needed to make weekends happen. Thanks everybody for all the hard work!
• People found Christ yesterday!!! About 20+ hands raised at the end of the service-makes all the effort worth it. Please pray for these people and they begin their journey with God.
• Jesus Christ…100% God…100% Man…amazing.
• God’s story of restoration…Truth to Die For!
• If you have friends’ exploring/wondering about faith, God, Christianity you need to give them this series.
• I met several new people at Discover Oakbrook yesterday. That never gets old!
• It was so fun having local Kokomo author Susan Snyder with us yesterday. Lots of people bought her book “What Will I Be When I Grow Up?” My grandson Mason loves it. If you didn’t get a signed copy you can still get one. Stop by Lakeside Books and they will help you get one.
• Don’t forget…Lakeside Books open Mondays 10:00am-3:00pm now through the holidays. Tell your friends, bring them by to check out our amazing bookstore.
• I signed up yesterday to ring a bell for the Salvation Army. If you haven’t ever done this you should…it is a great reminder of what the Christmas season is all about.
• I’m hearing great stories from our team that went to Haiti last week. God using us to help people find Christ in Haiti-so cool! Thanks to all who went! My friend Marty Dittmar sent me a text Saturday night (he was in Haiti with the Oakbrook team) telling me how much he loved serving with Oakbrook people-doesn’t surprise me.
• We are joining the Advent Conspiracy this Christmas…www.adventconspiracy.org. Details coming this Sunday. Can’t wait to tell you guys about it!!!
• Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday of the year! Family, amazing food and everybody realizing how blessed we are. I’m so thankful for my amazing wife, family, Oakbrook, the call of God on my life, great friends…your turn…
