Monday Morning Recap, 05.24
A few thoughts from yesterday....
*The Staying in Love series by Andy Stanley was some of the best Biblical information I have ever heard regarding lasting relationships...thats why i wanted to share it with you guys.
*If you would like to here more of Andy's teaching you can here...www.northpoint.org
*What if we really "Believed the Best" in the gap between Expectation and Behavior???
*The short film and song package was awesome! Thanks for all the hard work Creative Arts Team!
*Online Giving...Online Giving...Online Giving...Online Giving...Online Giving...Online Giving...Online Giving...Online Giving...Online Giving...http://www.oakbrookchurch.com/give/...a great way to stay consistent in giving during the summer months.
*How about that Curtis Stout? I love that guy! Thanks for supporting his soccer team in Haiti. All the cleats were purchased in a matter of minutes and several people donated more...WAY TO GO Oakbrook!
*Stay in touch with Curtis by .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). And you can also follow him on Facebook.
*Really excited about the new series that starts this weekend...Practical Atheist. You ever wonder why people who believe in God live as if He doesn't really exist? For example why do people who believe in God, refuse to forgive others? Or why do people who believe in God, worry all the time? Or why do people who believe in God, pursue happiness at all cost? Can't wait to dig into this series! Don't miss a week...if your in town be here!
*A lot of you wondered how my daughter Mandy's wedding went...it was beautiful! Thanks for your prayers.
As always...D.J.T.A.I.B.A.I!
Love Doing Dhurch with You Guys!!

Wow! Thanks so much for sharing this incredible series with us. As a “Newlywed” (almost to our 2nd anniversary), it was refreshing to see what we are doing right, and interesting to see what we may be up against down the road. What great insight to keeping our love so strong! This was such a powerful series! Thanks again!!!

I felt God nudging me more about my relationship with my kids, then my husband. When Andy said to treat them the way you would want them to treat you, I really felt convicted. I often jump to a negative conclusion rather than believing in them. This was a fantastic series, thank you so much for continuing to help us grow.
