Monday Afternoon Recap, 01.10

Wow. I have heard so many talks on the topic of finances but Andy Stanley is bringing it in such a fresh and powerful way! Here are some highlights from yesterday: He taught through 1 Timothy 6:6-11, 18-19 "Discontentment is dangerous!" (It drives our appetite for more bigger, better stuff.)

Monday Morning Recap, 01.03

Happy New Year Everybody! I hope you had a great Holiday season with your family and friends. Hope you have enjoyed the past few Sunday experiences as much as I have. Starting the New Year with a time of communion and worship yesterday was so good for my soul! What a great message from our friend Andy Stanley! It was so good to start the New Year with the understanding that the goal of our lives is to honor God with everything we have and with everything we are.

What an awesome day at Oakbrook! Congratulations to all the people who were baptized the past 3 weeks. We are proud of you. And what a joy it was for all of us to celebrate this defining moment in your life. Thanks to all of you who helped prepare the Christmas meals for families in need this Christmas season. It takes Kokomo Urban Outreach a week to prepare the food and you did in 45 minutes! Way to go everyone!!

Monday Morning Recap. 11.29

The Monday Morning Recap.....on Thursday.....hopefully better late than never. Just want to say thank you for the privilege it was to speak this past Sunday. I have to admit that before it was time to go up and speak, I was thinking "Oh no, this service has been amazing so far...don't mess it up Jason." Hopefully I didn't. Watching people declare their faith and get baptized never gets old and then to encompass it with a time of authentic worship like we did is so good for my soul. Glory to God .......... forever.

HAPPY 25TH OAKBROOK! Yesterday was so much fun for me! I loved seeing all the old school pictures in the video. God has been so good and so faithful over the past 25 years. Are you guys ready for the NEXT 5 YEARS? The next 5 years are going to be an amazing adventure of life transformation! What role does God want you to play in the 5 Year Plan? I can't wait to see how God uses us all-together-in the next 5 Years to help more people find Jesus!

Monday Recap on Friday

WOW...What a great day at Oakbrook! I just returned home from our 25th anniversary celebration. It was great spending a wonderful evening with about 300 of you reminiscing about the last 25 years at Oakbrook. Some of the original "Brooks Brothers" opened up the night with Smile, and I have to say that Monty has not loss any of his edge over all his years here at the church.

And before you start reading pray the "Samuel Prayer-Speak Lord, your servant is listening."
