WOW-nothing like baptisms and worship to make your whole week, is there?! Way to go to everyone who stepped into the waters Sunday-and way to go everyone along the way who had a hand in that happening! Way to go to everyone who built into their marriage this weekend by experiencing the Love and Respect seminar Friday & Saturday-200+ in attendance! Sandra and I got a lot out of it and plan to discuss it more in depth tomorrow evening. I don't know about you but perhaps Mark should get on cold meds every week wink As a fellow teacher, I know there's nothing like trying to unpack the Trinity in 30 minutes-but what a great job he did with it! One reason I like our church is that I don't have to wear my glad rags Sunday morning wink I want to thank the Williams' for sharing their story with us yesterday. It's amazing how God uses a story like theirs to breathe hope into untold marriages. And I am confident that whoever has the courage to seek God in a challenging marriage will find healing and health. And what an honor to lock arms and pray with individuals and couples after the service. God is so good!

Happy Valentines Day Everybody! Hope you get an opportunity to really enjoy those you love today. I'm spending the day with Ronda (we've been together 27 years!) and our grandson Mason-should be an awesome Valentines Day for me! Ending the Nahum series with communion was to quote my good friend Jlee-EPIC! Teaching about the judgement of God that awaits us is frankly unsettling but to wrap that truth in the grace and mercy of Christ and what he did for us on the cross is again-EPIC.

What a great weekend of influence at Oakbrook! So proud of all the Dad and Daughters who experienced Dad Camp Winter this weekend. Big thanks to Jason Braun and his team for all the hard work and effort they put forth to make this happen! The next Dad Camp Winter for Dads and Sons is Feb. 25-26. Did you see all the kids and volunteers in Upstreet walking around in their PJ's? Yesterday was the annual PJ Party in Upstreet. I love the creativity the staff and volunteers bring to Upstreet! Parents-when's the last time you thanked a volunteer for the investment they are making in your kids life? Let these amazing volunteers know how much you appreciate them!
