One word that describes what Oakbrook is about is this: Becoming. From the very foundations of Oakbrook's history, we've been following God's voice to build and continually become a church like the one modeled in Acts 2. That vision captures us. In that first church are the earmarks of what we are becoming.

Becoming a Christian is a process that we want to honor. When you come check Oakbrook out you will feel that. You'll sense that you have room in our community to grow... at your own pace. We want the vibe of our church to be friendly and open, yet if a person just wants to come and seek God with relative anonymity we welcome that.

You will be challenged to examine your life when you walk in. It won't be abrasive and obtrusive. The challenge will come directly from God's word communicated through relevant teaching and the use of the arts. One Sunday morning you might hear a song that sparks a question in your heart. One time it might be a drama that shows you a slice of your life. There might be a 4 week series that marks you over time. You might show up for a Christmas Service and not expect to be ambushed by the way you feel when you leave. Wherever the challenge hits you... it's not about us. It's about God working in you.
